Connect Google Ads

Once connected, we report your sales to Google Ads as enhanced conversions with hashed first-party data. Google asks for a little more than the other platforms — three IDs instead of one — so here's where each one lives.

What you need

Customer ID (10 digits)

Top-right corner of Google Ads, shaped like 123-456-7890. Paste it with or without the dashes — we accept both.

Conversion action ID

The conversion action your purchases should count toward. In Google Ads: Goals → Conversions → click the action — the numeric ID appears in your browser's address bar after ctId=. If you don't have a purchase conversion action yet, create one there first (source: Website).

Developer token

Issued by Google in the API Center of a manager account (MCC) — Admin → API Center. If your account isn't under a manager account, create a free one at ads.google.com/home/tools/manager-accounts and link your account to it. Google's basic access level is enough.

Steps

  1. 1
Open Integrations and click Connect on Google Ads

In your Hyper Tracking dashboard, go to Integrations. On the Google Ads card, click Connect.

  2. 2
    Enter your customer ID

Paste it into the Google Ads customer ID (10 digits) field and click Continue.

  3. 3
    Authorize with Google

You'll be sent to Google's consent screen. Sign in with the Google account that has access to that Ads account and approve.

  4. 4
    Finish setup

Back on the card, fill in Conversion action ID and Developer token. If you access the account through a manager account, also fill Login customer ID with the manager's 10-digit ID. Click Finish setup — the badge flips to Connected.

No conversions are sent while the badge reads "Setup incomplete" — all three fields above must be in before delivery turns on.

What gets sent

Purchases (and refund adjustments) against your chosen conversion action, with hashed customer data only — see Data & privacy. Google matches the hashes against signed-in users, so you recover conversions the browser tag loses to blockers and Safari.

Google's setup has the most moving parts of any platform — if the developer token or manager account step has you stuck, just write in. support@hypertracking.io — we answer fast, and including your store's web address speeds things up.
